This is my web site. Got it? Good. I'll think of something funny, inspiring, moving, and engaging later. I'm thirsty. Seriously. The content is coming, the content is coming. Like all good things, you must wait just a little bit longer. Snoochie booches.
Brian. Brian Scott. Brian Scott Miller. Me. The three most boring names in the English language. But combined… What do I answer to? I have heard the four winds call for Brian Three Names. I’ve heard drunken friends scream “Brido” across Sunset Boulevard at 2:57 am on a Thursday morning. “Meijo” “Sir” “Mr. Miller” I’m an escaped native of the terra cotta capital of the world - Tucson, Arizona. And I miss it every day. After the big one, it will have a beach and I’ll move back. Wrote and directed my first film - "The Fighting 13th" at the age of eleven. Model cement glue, fishing line, and transparent tape to splice Super 8 film. Simple is always better. My theatrical career started shortly thereafter with the Arizona Theater Company's distinguished "Encompass" program and I appeared on stage in numerous musicals including "West Side Story", "The Sound of Music", and "Hello, Dolly" as well as directed performances of "Barefoot in the Park" and "David and Lisa". Amazing memories. Formative years. Cool stuff. I also got lucky and appeared on stage for two seasons with the Southern Arizona Light Opera Company. Rode the cliché wave and - after majoring in both Communications and Drama Education at the University of Arizona – said forget it and did the really cliché thing and moved to Los Angeles where I was double lucky and attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In addition to appearing in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" and Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie", I met some amazing and ridiculously talented people and began focusing on the two overriding passions ( improvisational comedy and screenwriting). Also tasted the tech side and worked behind the scenes as an Assistant to (Emmy Award Winning) Set Designer Phyllis Hofberg for the children's television program "Funhouse" – remember that one? - as well as Production Assistant for the Nickelodeon program "Salute your Shorts". Got tapped for the Touchstone Pictures' "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion" Premier, and was back in front of an audience as Master of Ceremonies (along with original MTV VJ Mark Goodman). I did manage to eek out a Bachelor’s degree (Magna Cum Laude if you can believe that) from the Woodbury University School of Business and Management. Even crazier, I hold (and keep holding because it’s a miracle) an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA. Yes, The Brido is a Bruin. And a Wildcat. And a Scorpio. Okay. Tag. Tell me about you.
